What I want you to do today
1. Using Photoshop "levels", adjust light, dark and contrast in your line photo. 
2. Put the "rock" photo in your portfolio folder. 
3. Save the rock photo. Save As>rock original. then Save As>rock working. 2 copies of the rock photo.
4. Add levels to the rock working photo
5. Take and upload a "rule of thirds"
photo. 

Photo assignments:

1. Line_use phones, cameras, PhotoBooth. 
  Move in close and fill the frame.
  Simple background.


Then, make a new folder on your desktop. 
Title Your first name and your last name_Photos or My Photos. Place this line photo in this folder. How will you do this? Title it "line". 

 Add levels, using the histogram.

2.  Load the rock photo into your photos folder or download it and place it in your folder. Title it "rock"

Be sure you can open Photoshop

Open Photoshop

On page 1, place and resize another photo
Hold Shift and drag from a corner
Arrange 3 photos 
Save it into the sketchbook folder.

Electronic Devices
When I am giving instructions or speaking to the entire class, all electronic devices should be put away. That means invisible. If I see one, I will ask you for it. I will probably give it back to you at the end of class.
If you do not give it to me, I will call for a campus supervisor and have you escorted to an assistant principal.


Please..............If you want to listen to sound on your computer, use headphones. 

How the class works
1st 10 minutes_get folders and work in sketchbook or bell ringer 

Work on assignments

Last 30 minutes_ I will usually grade assignments

Clean up

Put folders up during last 5 minutes. Keep your folders out until then.

Tardies follow school policies_bring note from teacher or administrator if you have a reason for being late. 10 minutes late is a cutting class referral.

Food & drink 
No food near computers. Beverages must be in closed containers.

Food and drink permitted as long as room is clean. If not clean, a moratorium on food and drink.

Hall passes
Must have ID displayed
Emergency only - none for food and beverages
Sign out and sign in when you return

Visitors
Visitors are not permitted in my classes without a written note from a principal. Visitors will be removed by campus supervisors.
